Bent Cable

Replying to Chuka Umunna, Vince Cable called the pre-privatised Royal Mail "loss-making".

He lied to Parliament.

What is being done about that?

    Indeed.

    Then again, discussing such vital services as mail purely in terms of profit and loss illustrates the neoliberal colonisation of all discourse .

    Politicians call public spending "investment" and charities measure the outcome of their aid in terms of "return on investment".
