Whatever the faults of Viktor Orbán, he certainly bears comparison with Daniel Cohn-Bendit.
The European Parliament is a very odd forum in which to criticise anyone else's anti-democratic extremism, being a means whereby half a billion people are subject to the legislative will of Stalinists, Trotskyists, neo-Fascists, neo-Nazis and the like.
And the charge of anti-Semitism is in any case being peddled by the Harry's Place website, now far notable for the stories that it does not cover than for the ones that it does, and by its associates. For eight years and counting, "anti-Semitism" has been their catch-all screech against all criticism of the Iraq War, a view always held by at least ninety per cent of the British population, and now held by practically one hundred per cent.
