If Ever There Were An Argument In Favour Of Inheritance Tax

Was the Iraq War supported by anyone in this country who actually needs to work for a living? I honestly cannot think of one. And one of the most gilded on the lot, Douglas Murray, was on Newsnight again last night, still giving himself a by-line by pretending to be a think-tank called “the Centre for Social Cohesion”.

He was on to denounce Sharia Law, and astonishingly did so by reference to floggings, amputations and the like, which in fact he and his kind fanatically support. True to form, he was not asked how his and their pretended opposition to such things squared with his and their general support for torture, or with his and their positions on Kosovo, Turkey, Pakistan, Chechnya, and an economic system dependent on unrestricted immigration.

  1. If you could cough up a scintilla of evidence that Murray is in favour of flogging and torture it might give the vulgar ad hominem abuse some merit.

    All my best!

  2. They are in favour of torture, and very proud of it.

  3. I sincerely remain to be convinced that they are. All their arguments are based on naive utilitarian principles that rule out flogging and torture. These are the same people who are opposed to the death penalty and in favour of "women's rights".

    Know thine enemy!

  4. "opposed to the death penalty"

Murray isn't. Micahel Gove isn't. Their American guiding lights certainly aren't. I could go on.
