Digby And The Non-Doms

Digby Jones was possibly the weirdest of all Brown's appointments. On record that he has voted both Tory and Liberal, but has never voted Labour and never will, someone should ask him straight how he does or will now vote in local and European elections, and why.

As for his mates, the non-doms, it is beyond scandalous that non-domicile tax status has persisted under governments drawn either (never mind both) from an ostensibly social-democratic party with a strong patriotic streak or from an ostensibly nationalistic party with Disraelian roots. "Ostensibly" is obviously the word.

Jones says that he used to have seven ways of selling Britain to foreigners, but now he has only five. What were the other two? "Britain: Freeloaders Welcome" and "Britain: We Discriminate Against Our Own People", presumably. Good riddance to them. Good riddance to Jones as soon as possible. And good riddance to both parties even sooner.
