Holding Court?

Public reaction to Gina Miller's role in the Government's recent defeat in the Supreme Court has revealed a welcome undercurrent of public understanding, if hitherto unarticulated, that economic inequality is incompatible with democracy.

The very rich can retain the best lawyers, they can make the biggest donations to politicians and parties, they can move in the same social circles as the powerful, they can offer them the most lucrative employment when they leave office, and so on. And they do.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. A new party is now in the process of registration. After nearly 30 years of suggestion, speculation, and even a sort of preparation, I will stand for Parliament here at North West Durham. The crowdfunding page is here, and buy the book here. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
