Deal With It

Boris Johnson has never believed in Brexit. And there is not going to be a deal by 19th October, two weeks today, mostly because nobody is trying to negotiate one. So that's that.

If we are not out by 31st December, then we never will be. The post facto confirmation of that in a referendum will be the joked about "best of three": 1975, 2016, and 2020.

But this time, Remain will mean Hard Remain, with everything from Schengen to the euro, so that, if it ever was possible in practice to withdraw, then it certainly never will be in future.

In short, we have been had. Above all, we have been had by Boris Johnson, who has never believed in Brexit.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. A new party is now in the process of registration.

After nearly 30 years of suggestion, speculation, and even a sort of preparation, I will stand for Parliament here at North West Durham.

The crowdfunding page is here, and buy the book here. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
