In the biggest story in the world today, the Sudanese have already managed to get rid of two dictators in one day.
This one is enormous. It could go any of a dozen different ways, and the ramifications of any of them would shake the globe.
There would be precious little understanding of them in the present British Political Class. Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it.
It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post.
