Due Prominence

The Canary made a mistake, and it has apologised. Indeed, it has apologised on its front page.

There has been, however, no apology from Laura Kuenssberg for the fact that she created her own news by colluding with a Shadow Minister for him to resign on air. Or for the fact that she claimed to have been accompanied to the Labour Party Conference by a bodyguard whom no one could see or hear.

Either of those was a bit worse than confusing an invitation, which no one had any difficulty believing, with an acceptance, which no one had any difficulty believing. No one has to pay for The Canary if they want to watch Love Island. But they do have to pay for Laura Kuenssberg.
