What A Relief

If Harriet Harman were to resign forthwith.

David Cameron is going to have a field day at PMQs. Harman ought not to attend.

No Leader at all would be better than this.

Thankfully, Andy Burnham will be here soon enough, backed up by Tom Watson, although the field for Deputy Leader is very strong, and any of several of them would do.

In the meantime, however, Hattie's Senior Moments it is.

    1. It would not be ideal, but nor would it be the end of the world, or even of the Labour Party.

Whereas Kendall really would be the end of the Labour Party. Not that anything would replace it, making the matter of stopping her even more pressing.

It is notable that Ed Balls has declined a peerage. He'll be back.

  2. She must have been talking to Neil Fleming, it was the happiest day of his life when the heir to Blair won an overall majority.
