What if the Irish had done that in the 1970s? Declared that all the Irish passport-holders in England, Scotland and Wales were no longer anything to do with them, and would be sent back over here if they presented themselves at the Dublin Docks?
What if the Pakistanis were to do that now? Declare that all the Pakistani passport-holders in the United Kingdom were no longer anything to do with them, and would be sent back over here if they attempted to re-enter Pakistan?
And how does rendering anyone stateless make them easier to control?
