Thank God for Major General Robert Mood, the Norwegian Head of the UN Supervision Mission in Syria.
He has pointed out that arming the Islamist insurrection in, and invasion of, that country is only worsening and prolonging the suffering of her people, of which that insurrection and that invasion are the cause.
Not only must we stop supporting the insurrectionists and invaders (some of whom are British) directly, but we must also stop arming, or assisting the arming of, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
What really gets me is that it is known that al-Qaeda in Iraq is involved in the Syrian insurrection. This is a terrorist organization that literally would not exist had the U.S. and the Coalition not disastrously toppled the former Iraqi regime. And yet this gets very little notice in the media and there are still people who want the West to militarily intervene on the side of the rebels!
