Hunted Down

Jeremy Hunt is now in Cabinet with five men who would not vote against a motion effectively to censure him.

Six, actually: William Hague is presumably out of the country, although he counts among 19 Conservative abstainers on this three-line whip, including several who are no friends of the Government.

Funny how Hague and his very close friend and ally, Alan Duncan, both needed so urgently to be abroad on this of all days. Hague, for one, certainly still wants to be Prime Minister.

And the Speaker considers it in order for Hunt, uniquely in all of parliamentary history, to be accused on the floor of the House of having lied to it.

Close the door on the way out, Hunt? No, let Cameron do that just after you.
