More Than Academic

I like Fraser Nelson. We owners of funny accents should stick together.

But first on Coffee House yesterday, and then on The Daily Politics today, he was crowing about the (in any case, not tremendously impressive) take-up rate to become Michael Gove's Tony Blair Academies.

Without powerful Local Education Authorities, there can never again be a bipartite or tripartite secondary system. That is the real reason for wanting to abolish what remains of LEAs. Including by means of this scheme.
