Bad Sport

Good riddance to the Daily and Sunday Sport. How were they ever sold as newspapers? For that matter, when are newsagents going to be set free from distributors' compulsion of them to stock pornography?

By 2015, I shall be either cured (pretty much) or dead. In the former event, I shall indeed seek election to Parliament on commitments such as these. As well as opposition to Durham County Council's withdrawal of free travel to and from Catholic schools. The new seat, which will come into existence regardless of the result of the AV referendum, is likely to be almost exactly coterminous with the catchment area of Saint Bede's.

That takes care of the problem that, although I could expect lots of second and third preferences from across the spectrum, I might be eliminated in the first round of an AV election. Onwards to victory over, most probably, the younger of the two sitting MPs, who is a former Minister, and a veteran union and local government hack. But not a Catholic.
