The thing is in my prayers, but I remain utterly baffled by it. They have been using the Modern Roman Rite for as long as anyone on this side of the Tiber, and longer than some. Is this about retaining married clergy, provision for which has been in place for ages? Or is it about retaining a property portfolio, which in any case is not going to happen, and which as a concern is a very long way indeed from the discipleship preached by Jesus Christ? About as far, in fact, as it is possible to be.
