Political prisoner, activist, journalist, hymn-writer, emerging thinktanker, aspiring novelist, "tribal elder", 2019 parliamentary candidate for North West Durham, Shadow Leader of the Opposition, "Speedboat", "The Cockroach", eagerly awaiting the second (or possibly third) attempt to murder me.
It is interesting how so many secularists supported the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan because they wanted to transform those countries into something resembling the modern, secular West.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, these same people will always bring up the Crusades as an example of how violent and warlike Christianity is. At least the Crusaders were defending Christians against a real threat. Who was Saddam threatening in 2003?
