NRA To Endorse Harry Reid?

And why not? What has the Republican Party ever actually done for the NRA? Both it officially, and the astroturfing Tea Party "insurgency", lionise the President who signed the Brady Bill. If you give uncritical support to one party, then you cannot ever expect the other party to listen to you, nor are you giving your own the slightest cause to do so.

Will, for example, the pro-life and pro-family movement learn this lesson? What has the Republican Party ever actually done for them, either? Both it officially, and the astroturfing Tea Party "insurgency", lionise the President who legalised abortion in California and whose no fault divorce law there became the model for those in most other states. If you give uncritical support to one party, then you cannot ever expect the other party to listen to you, nor are you giving your own the slightest cause to do so.

Even if that other party is the one that controlled Congress when the Hyde Amendment was passed, that provided the President who signed it into law, that has just entrenched it even further in healthcare legislation, and that really wanted and wants the public option that, with Hyde and Stupak-Pitts, would make abortion practically impossible, whatever the judicial theory of the matter might be.
