Public Record

From A C Grayling's article in the Independent on Sunday:

It is on public record that [Benedict XVI] personally protected child abusers and covered up cases of child abuse before becoming Pope.

The Pope should sue.

Grayling and the rest of them may be many things, but they are not stupid. They know the mood that they are liable to create. And which they have largely, if not entirely, created.

  1. David,

I disagree. The Pope should not sue. What should be happening is that a statement or, even better, a pamphlet issued picking a hile in Grayling's logic as wide as his forehead. When fced with such fulminators, the enrichment of lawyers should not be considered to be an appropriate use of charitably given funds.
