Jon Cruddas Was Right, Says Hazel Blears

No, of course not.

But she certainly should. She slapped him down, and no mistake, when he suggested during the Labour Deputy Leadership Election that the white working class had been alienated.

My friend Phillip Blond has been made head of the Demos progressive conservatism project on a permanent contract, and his goal is to turn the Tories "Red Tory". Well, good luck to him with that.

But Jon Cruddas (a practising Catholic, of course) is speaking at the opening event, as is Frank Field.

The plates are shifting.
