This is her own translation:
This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is a boost to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom.
We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world as our principal allies to achieve Freedom and democracy.
I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!
She does not bother with "Venezuela will be free!" in English. Draw your own conclusions. We told you so. At best, Trump's bruised echo might prevent him from invading Venezuela for as long as that would assist Machado. But even that is a long shot. Not for the first time, the CIA has awarded itself the Nobel Peace Prize as a declaration of war.
Machado wants to legalise abortion and same-sex marriage, the second one would involve amending the Constitution. As you say she's also a dope legaliser. Trump is on the way to invading Venezuela to make these changes.
ReplyDeleteWell, the abortion and drugs ones, at least, would be highly lucrative. Along with the privatisation of PDVSA, which is the main prize.
DeleteMarriage is defined as the union of one man and one woman in the Venezuelan Constitution of 1999. That is, the Constitution that was written by Hugo Chávez.
