Our Values As A Government

Jeremy Hunt promises higher taxes and lower spending. Conservatives should count themselves lucky that the other side was so useless, or it might have replied that for the same level of taxation, then it would at least have given people something to show for it.

But instead, Labour is committed to the full Truss-Kwarteng programme that Tony Blair could never have got past his party in those days, and which has just been abandoned after it had crashed the economy. Do not vote for either of them. Make our own arrangements.

To strengthen families and communities by securing economic equality and international peace through the democratic political control of the means to those ends, including national and parliamentary sovereignty, we need to hold the balance of power in the next Parliament. Owing nothing to either main party, we must be open to the better offer. There does, however, need to be a better offer. Not a lesser evil, which in any case the Labour Party is not.

  1. Labour is going into the next Election as the last of the Fiscal Eventers. We need a real alternative.
