Anneliese Dodds has denounced the prospect of a real terms pay cut for Teaching Assistants.
But at Christmas 2016, Durham County Council pioneered fire and rehire in order to cut the pay of its Teaching Assistants by 23 per cent.
That Council has been Labour throughout living memory, and its wing is now back in control of the Labour Party.
