Politically Competitive?

It's that man again. Norma Desmond, and all that.

But if Tony Blair still wants a role, then his party will now be requiring a parliamentary candidate at Sedgefield.

He should simply announce on his Twitter profile that he was that candidate, and it would be done.

It is Keir Starmer's party now, so it is his again. Put up or shut up, Blair. Put up, or shut up.

  1. People generally retire after leading a party to three election victories on the trot, the last Labour leader to achieve such a feat. Corbyn’s greatest achievement was losing an election to Theresa May in 2017 and resoundingly beaten in 2019. Hilariously, some Corbynistas still maintain he lost badly because he wasn’t leftwing enough! As if people voted for Boris Johnson, Dominic Raab, Priti Patel and Jacob Rees-Mogg because Labour wasn’t leftwing enough.

The level of delusion on the Far Left is enough to make you laugh until you cry.

    1. Johnson and Sunak have an economic programme to the left of any since 1976. Patel has gone full Black Lives Matter, and perhaps she always was. Raab is not long for office. Jacob who?

If the fear of Corbyn, of all people, keeps you voting for this, then fine. Less so for Corbyn himself, perhaps. But he has never been afraid to take one for the team.
