Cummings, Not Goings

Ordinarily, the position of Dominic Cummings would tonight be untenable.

But who is going to sack him? Boris Johnson, who bunged many tens of thousands of pounds of public money to his bit on the side?

    Since when was it a story (or the business of the police) that a citizen of a free country visited his parents?

    That’s the real scandal. Like Neil Ferguson, this shows those in charge of this lockdown don’t believe in it any more than most of us do.

    Nor should we.

      "Most of us"? The lockdown is massively popular. Johnson, however, has to maintain his social life among Telegraph columnists who already worked from home, but who are annoyed that their usual leisure activities are unavailable.
