Sanction This

As the reimposition of American sanctions on Iran causes the rest of the world to begin to develop a financial system that simply bypasses the United States, it looks as if, just for once, Britain might be in something from the start, or even at all.

Mind you, not if most Conservative or Labour MPs have anything to do with it. If it were up to them, then we would already have nuked Iran long ago, for the sake of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that is actively at war with Britain, and it is so on our own streets. But we arm it. To the teeth. Well, of course we do. Saudi Arabia does not yet have nuclear weapons, but it wants them, it can afford them, and in any case it just gets to use other people's.

For example, in 2008, Hillary Clinton, that heroine to most Conservative and Labour MPs, promised a nuclear attack on Iran if she were so instructed by the Saudi, Kuwaiti and Emirati financial backers of her campaign. She has never retracted that promise. Remember that when anyone starts to go on about "Russia" and Donald Trump or anyone else.

By contrast, Iran simply does not have a nuclear weapons programme at all, and Iran's worst offence against Britain, which is a real one, is the imprisonment of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and of Abbas Edelat.

Iran-baiting Saudi puppet politicians in Britain would have any credibility if they had flown unannounced to Tehran with their smartphones on their hands and tweeted immediately before landing that they were simply going to refuse to leave without those hostages.

They have not done so. But I would, if I were an MP. Just as I would do the same in order to release County Durham's own, Matthew Hedges, from the clutches of our Emirati "allies". It is not every Chadsman who would do that for a Hatfield man. But I would.

Another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. That address accepts PayPal. Very many thanks.
