Mashed To Pieces

I tried to watch The Mash Report again last night, but I couldn't stand 10 minutes of it, and possibly not even five.

Children's entertainment, like writing for children, is an art. But this was something else.

There is something very creepy about people in their thirties who yearn to be mistaken for teenagers.

Yet, as "satire", that is what we have no had for nearly 60 years.

And very specific teenagers at that: lower-upper-middle-class Sixth Formers who are not as clever as they think they are.

  1. Who's that pillock they have on claiming to be Britain's only Tory comedian? The only one on "the circuit", more like. Jim Davidson might not be to your taste or mine but he'd make a memorable addition to this show. And notice how they don't dare broadcast live to read out real tweets about them, it's recorded and the tweets are "satirical".
