I would never have been indicted by a grand jury.
But then, I would never have been charged by the Police, either. Ask them.
If there is one group of people against whom I have no complaint, then it is Durham Police.
I greatly look forward to working with them as Police, Crime and Victims' Commissioner from 2020 onwards.
The continued attempt to prosecute me for – oh, can anyone even remember what? – has no remaining motivation except to prevent my election to that office.
As such, it is an unwarranted interference in the electoral process by the Crown Prosecution Service, calling for national and international condemnation.
None of my 32 character witnesses is to be called, but at least 15 of them are members of the Labour Party, including past and present members of both Houses of Parliament.
As well as five serving members of Durham County Council, three of whom are among the famous 57.
I have of course had no contact with any of them. I simply know that they would testify in my defence, having known them for many years.
By contrast, I have never had a conversation with Simon Henig. So far as I could tell, at the Durham Miners' Gala, nor did anyone else. He appeared to be a pariah.
Others who would have been called included distinguished members of the Catholic and Anglican clergy, and Justices of the Peace, including a Presiding Justice.
Those, and others besides, were to have been called to testify to the absolute moral impossibility of my having committed the offence alleged.
That is, in the extremely unlikely event that anyone had managed to produce any evidence against me in the eight months between my having been charged and the date on which my trial was due to start.
No one has done so thus far. In which case, why wait for that?
Naming people might open them up to physical violence by the thugs who run Durham County Council, and whose links to Narendra Modi and Benjamin Netanyahu already have me in fear of my life.
So instead, as of this moment, each Labour member of Durham County Council falls into one of two categories.
There are those who have never met me.
And there are those who, if called upon to do so, would have testified, and in theory still would testify, that it was morally impossible for me to have committed the offence alleged against me.
If you are a Labour member of Durham County Council and you have never met me, then you need to state that as a matter of public record.
Or if you are a Labour member of Durham County Council and you have ever met me, and if it would not be your testimony that it was morally impossible for me to have committed the offence alleged against me, then you need to state that as a matter of public record, too.
Until such time as you have done so, then it remains, from this moment, a matter of public record that you have met me, and that you would in principle testify under oath that it was morally impossible for me to have committed the offence alleged against me.
This now applies to each and every Labour member of Durham County Council.

You are backtracking. You were going to name this saturday at 2pm - you said so last week.
ReplyDeleteLies again Lindsay.
Bringing it forward a day is the opposite of backtracking.

DeleteMeaning you, Anon. 16:44. A potentially murderous thug with links to the butchers of the Dalits and the Palestinians. Mr. Lindsay is absolutely right to protect his friends from you.
You have not named the 32 people.
ReplyDeleteYou have not given their actual names.
We can all calim that hundreds support us - but you cannot name them because they do not exist.
Dare you - name 6 -
And have them open the door to a hail of bullets from Henig's boys? No chance. Anyway, they don't necessarily know. That's not how being a witness works. You just get called. You don't necessarily know that you are going to be, and you don't get any say in the matter. None of mine, however, are to be called. Not my decision, but there we are.

You stated they were character witnesses that means you invite them and know who they are.
ReplyDeleteHow would the non councillors who you claim supprt you be bullied - a bishop bullied?? does not exist
Are you also calling the fairies who live at the bootom of your garden (if you have one)
You are clearly ill and need help
Time for your lie down, dear.
DeleteOf course I know who they were going to be. That doesn't mean that they do. And it certainly doesn't mean that you should.
