Israel First, Indeed

Harry's Place, the website that was still accusing all critics of the Iraq War of anti-Semitism until very recently when I started making a fuss on here and it stopped, today lavishes praise on South Africa's African Christian Democratic Party and its Leader, the Reverend Dr Kenneth Rasalabe Joseph Meshoe MP.

The ACDP was the only party to vote against the adoption of the final version of the South African Constitution, because it enshrined abortion on demand and the protection of homosexuality as an individual and collective identity. The question is not my view on these matters. The question is the view of Harry's Place and of the rest of that tendency: Nick Cohen, John Rentoul, David Aaronovitch, Oliver Kamm, Dan Hodges, and so on.

The ACDP opposes the failed condom policy against HIV and instead supports the successful Ugandan abstinence-only policy. The question is not my view on these matters. The question is the view of Harry's Place and of the rest of that tendency: Nick Cohen, John Rentoul, David Aaronovitch, Oliver Kamm, Dan Hodges, and so on.

Detached as it is from the Roman Magisterium, the ACDP opposes abortion but supports capital punishment. The question is not my view on these matters. The question is the view of Harry's Place and of the rest of that tendency: Nick Cohen, John Rentoul, David Aaronovitch, Oliver Kamm, Dan Hodges, and so on.

The ACDP wishes to raise the age of consent, and identifies the opposition to that move as coming from homosexualist activists who wish to condone and to practise sex between men and adolescent boys. The question is not my view on these matters. The question is the view of Harry's Place and of the rest of that tendency: Nick Cohen, John Rentoul, David Aaronovitch, Oliver Kamm, Dan Hodges, and so on.

Quite what it is that the ACDP likes about the State of Israel is not clear. It is probably unaware of the existence of the ancient indigenous Christians subject to apartheid and facing denaturalisation there, and in any case would lack the theological resources to cope with the knowledge that Christian communities going all the way back to the Day of Pentecost bore absolutely no resemblance to what it doubtless imagines to have been the New Testament Church.

But that ignorance only makes the ACDP even fonder of the idea of Zionism. And that alone matters to Harry's Place and to the rest of that tendency: Nick Cohen, John Rentoul, David Aaronovitch, Oliver Kamm, Dan Hodges, and so on.

  1. And yet they dare to criticise alliances with the CPB, the SWP or the London branches of the Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaat-e-Islami. Congratulations on finally shutting them up about how everyone who was right about Iraq was a Jew hater, a Holocaust denier and all the rest of it. Several times every day for years and weekly or more for years after that, but not now thanks to you calling them out on it. Kamm, Aaronovitch and Rentoul might still do it but nobody reads them.

Let’s look at some of their allies past and present. Alija Izetbegovic, the original Islamo-Fascist. Franjo Tudjman, a real life Holocaust denier. The KLA. The Chechen terrorists. Jundullah. The PMOI. Yisrael Beiteinu. Shas. The Kahanists. The people now running Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and the “Sixth Caliphate” of Tunisia. The people who want to massacre all the Christians, Shias, Alawites and Druze in Syria. Their backers in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi-backed side in Lebanon. The Project for the New American Century. The Bush Administration. The Clintons. Tony Blair. Anders Breivik. And now the ACDP.

  2. And the rest. The Moonies. The Russian National Bolsheviks. The persecutors of Dorje Shugden. The Xinjiang separatists. All the old Monday Clubbers and Western Goalies in the Henry Jackson Society. Saddam Hussein, in his day. Gaddafi until very recently indeed. All their old mates in the Communist Party and in various Trotskyist outfits. I know that you have already mentioned Anders Breivik, but I still feel the need to mention him again.

  3. No wonder they are so enthusiastic for the EU and the Northern Ireland "peace process".

  4. Indeed so.

Subjugation, both in the European Parliament and in the coalitions filling the Council of Ministers, to the legislative will of assorted Stalinists, Trotskyists, neo-Fascists, neo-Nazis, Eastern European kleptomaniacs and other neoconservative Crazies, Dutch ultra-Calvinists who will not have women as candidates, and people who regard the Provisional Army Council as the sovereign body throughout Ireland, soon to be joined by Turkey’s Islamists, secular ultranationalists, and Marxist supporters of violent Kurdish separatism.

And the carve-up of Northern Ireland between that Army Council’s Marxist guerrilla organisation and a bizarre fundamentalist sect unconnected to mainstream Ulster Protestantism.

If they want to justify their support for these things in terms of the Euston Mnaifesto, or the Statement of Principles of the Henry Jackson Society, or both, then they know what they have to do as soon as my next book is out, which it very soon will be.

  5. The leader of the ACDP, as a black South African, was a victim of apartheid. He is also a very wise and knowledgeable Reverend with plenty of theological resources. Genesis 12 verse 3 tells us that God told Abram He would make him into a great nation and bless those who bless that nation and curse those who curse that nation.

  6. Anyone who takes seriously that exegesis of Genesis 12:3 knows absolutely nothing. It is a reference to the Church.
