States of Israel

There are already two states for two peoples. Israel is for the satraps. Judea is for their masters, the settlers, who dictate the political agenda while not shying away from using physical violence against teenage conscripts of both sexes. Yet the military influence of settler allies now raises serious questions about civilian control of the IDF.

Within the pre-1967 borders, half of children starting school are now either Haredi or Arab. Yet the party of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister wants to denaturalise both of those categories. At the very least, pursuant to her responsibilities as set out in the Balfour Declaration to defend the rights both of the non-Jewish people of Palestine and of Jews everywhere, Britain must legislate to issue British passports to any denaturalised Israeli.

Quite conceivably, British passports should be issued to the Haredim and the Arabs, both of which are already legally recognised as distinct, before Israel makes any formal attempt to do to them what the Vichy regime did to the Jews.

  1. All hail, the Mossad Martyr of the Daily Telavivagraph!

What would That Man say if this scheme were ever realised? Lots of Arab Christians and Orthodox Jews given British passports to protect them from Zionism gone fascist.

As always with you and the Middle East, there is the strong suspicion that you are not just floating an idea off the top of your head, you know a lot more than you can say out loud.

By the time this happened, who would notice what That Man said? He's finished. Removed from his day job that gave him ecclesiastical cover, now only editing a rapidly declining blogs site universally recognised as crying out for a change at the top.

Damaged by a lot of things, and you would be the first to admit that top of the list was not how he treated you for something since confirmed by the resignation of Liam Fox. But that was still on the list all the same.

You will claim to know nothing of such things, media London is an undiscovered world to you and you plan on keeping it that way. Pull the other one.

Next you will be telling us that you know nothing of any scheme to give Israeli Arabs and Haredi British passports in accordance with the Balfour Declaration if Lieberman goes through with taking away their Israeli ones. Whether or not that is your idea, it is a brilliant one.

  2. One of Lieberman's subordinates is Ron Prosor, former Ambassador to London and now to the UN. Prosor was one of only four UN Ambassadors to attend last week's reception there for Marine Le Pen.
