Save William Hague

For now, anyway.

This Libya business has been very useful, since we are certainly not going to go to war there now, are we? I rather suspect, and indeed hope, that the SAS deliberately bungled this mission in order to be able to turn round and say, "Well, if even we cannot manage Libya, then there is no hope that anyone else is going to be able to". If that is so, then the SAS has done the nation a very great service, and is heartily to be congratulated.

And in general, William Hague is not half bad, with his pursuit of bilateral ties with Russia, with China, with Latin American countries, with the Arab world in general and the United Arab Emirates in particular, with India, with Indonesia, with Japan, with the major Commonwealth countries of Africa, and through the Commonwealth generally, among others.

That is doubtless why the Israel First, America Second, Nowhere Else Really Exists, There Is No British National Interest As Such Brigade have their knives out for him.
