Even A Stopped Clock

From the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

Rep. Michele Bachmann, continuing her drumbeat of criticism of President Obama’s policies and priorities, ripped his rationale Wednesday for intervening in Libya, arguing that it isn’t justified by any compelling national interest.

The Tea Party stalwart, riding a wave of national attention since aides said she may be on the cusp of a presidential run, also said she opposes giving military assistance to the rebels fighting Libya strongman Moammar Gadhafi, saying she believes al Qaida fighters have infiltrated their ranks.

“I would not have gone in” to Libya, Bachmann said on NBC’s “Today” show.

Bachmann said what she calls the “Obama doctrine” provides a misguided rationale for the United States “to enter into one country after another.”

It really has come to something when she is the voice of reason. But here we are. Whose fault is that?

Meanwhile, has anyone to whom it might listen been onto the Wisconsin Synod about her Christian Zionism, which depends on a Dispensationalism to which Confessional Lutherans cannot, by definition, subscribe?

Your ignorance is exposed yet again. Did you think that Minneapolis was in Wisconsin, that it came under the Wisconsin Synod? Yes you did.

  4. You are as wrong about Synods as you were about the fall in real terms wages.

  5. You are right about that, Tom.

Gosh, I have enjoyed this. I had thought that BDJ's all-time best had been his assumption that a reference to "the conservative Colbert" had been to The Colbert Report. Yet he has excelled even that.

You all have. But another case like this and I shall name you. I know who at least some of you are. I am not saying either who, or how many. But provoked like this again, I will.

    Now, on topic, please.

  6. Go on. People like them deserve it. Needless to add, we all know who one of them is. Sorry, off topic.

  7. Maybe someone should ask the Sole National Voice of Traditional Catholicism why Christian Zionism is incompatible with Catholicism? Or, just out of academic interest, with Confessional Lutheranism? Maybe someone should ask what Confessional Lutheranism is, and where the WELS fits into it? Say what? He knows nothing about theology? Then how come he is the Sole National Voice of Traditional Catholicism?
