Bye, Byers

Very good riddance indeed to Stephen Byers, veteran Trotskyist, and in that capacity failed and discredited Transport Secretary, now off to spend the public money that he diverted to useless private transport companies and contractors.

Also going is Alan Milburn, veteran Trotskyist, and in that capacity failed and discredited Health Secretary, now off to spend the public money that he diverted to useless private health companies and contractors. Milburn's only ever job outside publicly funded politics was running a Trotskyist bookshop which was in fact a noted centre for the distribution of illegal drugs. He was later made Health Secretary. But then so, with overall responsibility for every social worker in England, was Patricia Hewitt, she of Hatty and Patty, legal advisers to the Paedophile Information Exchange and to Paedophile Action for Liberation. Whatever happened to Hatty?

Meanwhile, those who had been eyeing South Shields now need only look across the river to North Tyneside. Which North or West London princess will be given it as a present for her coming out ball? Can there really be all that many of them left without seats? What happens if they all now have them? Is that why there is still no New Labour candidate here in North-West Durham?

  1. Er, Alan Milburn has already announced he's retiring, several months ago. Do you not follow the news?

  2. I blogged about it.

But I am rather hoping that they go before the Election. We live in hope, Nel. We live in hope.
