If you want to beat her, you should transfer your allegiance to Created in Birmingham. As someone who has equal disdain for Phillips and Clark, that's what I'm doing.

ReplyDeleteWell, it was a tough decision - do I continue voting for Neil Clark as a joke (as I did last year), or do I vote for Melanie Phillips to annoy him?
ReplyDeleteBut after much deliberation I went for la Phillips - on the grounds that she almost certainly couldn't care less about winning, but I bet Neil will be absolutely gutted about losing to her.
Which will almost certainly lead to a hilariously revisionist post about how the Weblog Awards aren't really that important anyway and he never took it seriously from the start. Or complete but strangely revealing silence. Either way, guaranteed entertainment, and it's all supposed to be a bit of fun.
