The Correct Manor

The Tories have absolutely nothing about which to apologise over Coleshill Manor, and should tell the Electoral Commission or anyone else to stick it.

But they won't, because they are now a wholly owned subsidiary of New Labour (indeed, they are now the principal expression of The Project), funded in the same dodgy ways, by the same dodgy people, to the same dodgy ends.

They yearn as much to be rid of Constituency Campaigning Services or the Midlands Industrial Group as the Blairites have always yearned to be rid of the unions: they know nothing about wider civil society except that they despise it.

Well, wider civil society should despise them back, and take its money elsewhere, so that the fight may be taken to the politicised moneybags (aged hippies all round) and their hired help (ageing yuppies all round) at the ballot box.

  2. You might be a little hard on Jon, here. Not on BDJ, though. Never worked outside politics. Never will.

  3. Careful, BDJ will set his brother-in-law on you again.
