In the nicest possible way, no one cares if we never see his wife. She is not the Prime Minister. When she does attend his work events, then she can wear whatever she always did on such occasions.
Like "Lady Thatcher", "Lady Starmer" sounds like a female grooming device. What might it mean to say, "I used my ladythatcher"? And what might it mean to say, "I used my ladystarmer"?
She can stay doing whatever it is she does, but if she wants to swank about in public then she can buy a £200 Monsoon frock like every other middle aged, middle class woman at a husband's work event.
