Anyway, very good luck to the new Northern Research Group of Conservative MPs. It cannot possibly do less for the North than the people who were now back running the Labour Party ever did. They no longer even pretend to have any interest in us.
Although they still assume that this Parliament is the middle of the parable of the Prodigal Son. It is not. We have known them long enough and well enough to know that they would have no fatted calf waiting for us. The last time that they were in, we were the fatted calf.
