No Culture War Here

The denial of the scientific fact of immutable biological sex threatens to make even worse the unnecessary, damaging, and historically aberrant split between the "two cultures", of which I am as guilty as anyone else.

The Journal of Gynaecology could never, by definition, publish anything that did not presuppose the scientific fact of immutable biological sex, while The Sociological Journal of the Visual Arts would probably already refuse to publish anything that did, and will have moved on to endless "explorations" and "celebrations" of however many genders there were now supposed to be.

Our 2020 Vision includes a new quarterly academic journal. As well as always carrying at least one article on the economic, social, cultural and political life of the industrial and former industrial communities beyond, or peripheral to, the metropolitan areas of the United Kingdom, it will also always carry at least one article on the scientific fact of immutable biological sex, and on the economic, social, cultural and political implications of that fact.

All this, and a new political party, a new think tank, a new weekly newspaper, a new fortnightly satirical magazine, a new monthly cultural review, and so much else besides. I will be standing for Parliament again here at North West Durham next time, so please give generously. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.

  1. “I’m Jeremy Corbyn, preferred pronoun he/him. “

With that (following Jo Swinson telling Radio 4 Today she didn’t believe biological sex exists) the Left/Official Opposition became anti science.

    1. I don't know who you think has been in government for the last 10 years. There was none of this 10 years ago. None. And all the organised, serious opposition to it today is coming from the Left.
