Undeliverable?

24 hours later, this has been sent back as "undeliverable" to the address that still appears on the website of the Crown Prosecution Service:

Dear Sir or Madam,

On Thursday 21st November, at Durham Crown Court, there is to be yet another hearing relating to the ongoing criminal proceedings against me, which have been going on since I was charged in April 2017. There have been two postponed trials, and in April of this year a third trial ended in a discharged jury.

Following my barrister’s demolition of such case as the Crown had presented, its comically incredible star witness had disappeared overnight in the United States and was thus unable to resume his videolink evidence. This attracted prominent coverage in the local and regional media. Another trial, a fourth, is scheduled for March 2020, three years after I was arrested.

I am now, however, a candidate for the parliamentary seat of North West Durham at the forthcoming General Election. It is common knowledge that this action was initiated by the leading faction of Durham County Council in order to prevent my election to that authority in May 2017. Its continuation has no conceivable purpose except to influence, in like manner, an election to the sovereign Parliament of the United Kingdom.

The extreme weakness of the case against me is now a matter of public record. There is nothing remotely approaching a 50 per cent chance of a conviction. Far from there being any public interest in the pursuit of this matter, the public interest is now very strongly to the contrary. My Legal Aid means that every penny of both sides is being paid out of the public purse.

Therefore, I am writing to implore you, for the sake of the reputation of the criminal justice system in this part of the country and in general, to discontinue this whole business at or before the hearing at Durham Crown Court on Thursday 21st November.
