Gross

The figures submitted by the British Government to the European Commission include illegal drug use, prostitution and tax evasion in the calculation of this country's economic health.

And business is booming.

That's the "free" market. By definition, you cannot have that without this.

Or with any more restrictions on migration than on goods, services or capital.

  1. Really? Australia is pretty capitalist and has been running a very successful points-based immigration system last time I checked.

    Points based systems of course require you to control your own borders. Which means Britain can't have one.

  2. It is if you only import the skills you actually need for your economy. Why import skills you don't need?

    1. And that's not a "free" market.

      It is, in fact, a very high level of State involvement in the economy, making and implementing highly political, politicised and politicising choices.

      There cannot be immigration controls, any immigration controls, in a "free" market (to have which is itself a political choice). By definition.
