Don't Be A Dope

At least, and at last, the debate on drugs is now open in earnest.

We need a single category of illegal drug, with a crackdown on the possession of drugs, including a mandatory sentence of three months for a second offence, six months for a third offence, one year for a fourth offence, and so on.

There cannot be a "free" market, but not in drugs (or prostitution, or pornography).

Therefore, there cannot, there must not, be a "free" market.

  1. Tristram Hunt sounding exactly like Peter Hitchens on Question Time, Alan Johnson putting the pro-drugs posh boy well and truly in his place on This Week, Labour MPs on Twitter calling out "victimless" drug users good and proper about the supply chain, it has been a grand night. Like you need any encouragement, keep up the brilliant work.

  2. Absolutely priceless tweet from you, "If David Cameron is anti-drugs, then is he going to remove Toby Young from his position running a state-funded school? If not, why not?" I'd love to see you publicly ask your own generation's Blairites in all parties if they had ever taken any illegal drug. That would be delicious.

  3. We've been cracking down on drugs for decades. It never works. It can't work.
