Double Trouble

Andrew Neil made a very important point about AV on The Daily Politics. Why should supporters of low-scoring candidates have two or more votes when those for high-scoring candidates have only one? Why should a BNP voter have at least twice as many votes as I have?

  1. It's not that they have two votes, David, it's that they have one transferable vote. As do you.

Claiming otherwise is sophistry, pure and simple.

  2. Voters for low-placed candidates have two or more votes, but those for high-placed candidates have only one. This simple matter of fact is going to lose you this referendum. The No Campaign starts here.
