Hootenanny?
What was Jools Holland thinking of, playing host to "Boy George"? "If you let them take your dignity, you lose", sang O'Dowd in the whining, self-indulgent Pentonville Blues. Audun Carlsen certainly "lost", in that case, when the drug-crazed O'Dowd shackled him to a wall and lashed him with a chain while shouting insults at him. And again, when O'Dowd then falsely accused him of theft, as if that would have been any some sort of excuse. Rightly, Holland would have had nothing to do with O'Dowd if his victim had been a woman.

ReplyDelete"you sir do not have any of the facts!"
ReplyDeleteI have all the ones from his trial, a matter of public record.
"is it because he is a homosexual?"
He wouldn't otherwise have been on. If his victim had been a woman, then he would now be a pariah, his records no longer sold, never mind his being on one of the BBC's biggest music shows of the year.
Thank God someone is saying this. Sexual violence against men is now beginning to be taken seriously by the courts but the media obviously still have a hell of a long way to go.
ReplyDeletePeople will call you homophobic for this, but I am gay and I cannot thank you enough for breaking this taboo.
