No Tory Government would dare, and most Tories in the country would not want it to dare, to sell off the schools, the hospitals, and now also the general practices (with who knows what else to follow?).

Likewise, no Labour Government would dare, and most Labourites in the country would not want it to dare, to sell out Gibraltar, pull out of Northern Ireland, dissolve the Union with Scotland, or legislate for the monarchy to die with the present Queen.

For the former, you need New Labour. For the latter, you need the New Tories (or, indeed, the Old Tories, when you look at their record).
