But seriously, the Hashemites are going to be needing yet another kingdom, and King Abdullah II is practically a Cerdicing compared to our own dear Sovereign Lord, who is of the Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg branch of the House of Oldenburg, while his late mother was of the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha branch of the House of Wettin.
King Abdullah's mother, who is still alive, was born Toni Avril Gardiner, of Chelmondiston in Suffolk, the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Walter Percy "Tony" Gardiner and Doris Elizabeth (née Sutton). Once dispossessed as his father's family tends to be, perhaps her son could be the King of an independent England?
