Peter Hitchens is of course correct about Nigel Farage and drugs.
He ought therefore to undertake that he would contest any parliamentary seat that Farage did.
Political prisoner, activist, journalist, hymn-writer, emerging thinktanker, aspiring novelist, "tribal elder", 2019 parliamentary candidate for North West Durham, Shadow Leader of the Opposition, "Speedboat", "The Cockroach", eagerly awaiting the second (or possibly third) attempt to murder me.
Hitchens is very good at talking a good fight.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, a newspaper could say that that was his job. Except that Hitchens has repeatedly expressed the desire to stand for Parliament. It is hardly as if he lacked the profile or the means.
DeleteTice wants Farage as President when Trump is, should Hitchens give him a run for his money?
ReplyDeleteI would, anyway.
DeleteTice is the only republican politician whom I have ever known to want the President to be a named individual other than himself.
When has he ever expressed the desire to stand for Parliament? You’ve plainly never read or understood him-he’s always said that it is pointless anyone independent standing for Parliament since the broadcasting rules and donations favour the incumbent parties, and therefore only the collapse of one of them would allow people like him to stand.
ReplyDeleteYou need £500 and 10 signatures. That's it. He could claim age now, I suppose, but his excuses have never washed.
