The Americans are notorious for friendly fire, and they have lived up to that reputation by killing Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi in Syria, where he was the leader of the side that they and we were backing against President Assad, rather than in Iraq, where exactly the same IS is the side against which they and we are fighting in defence of the Iranian colony that was created there by the removal of Saddam Hussein. Although Iran is of course the enemy in Iran. Further east again are Afghanistan and Pakistan, so it would be better to stop there.
This attack killed 13 people, including four women and six children. If you believe that the target blew them up along with himself, then you will believe anything. It was in fact the American Special Forces who destroyed their own helicopter. Oh, well, with any luck they will eventually realise that they had also been wrong to have backed the Azov Battalion. We may only hope for greater preparation and precision when they took out the leaders of that. Better yet, the people who had been right all along about it would already have done the job.
Yet are you on the Foreign Affairs Select Committee? It's chaired by Tugendhat and even three of the four Labour members are neocon Crazies.
ReplyDelete"Even"? And the Scottish Nationalist on it is a spook.
