First Class Seating No More

Labour and the Liberal Democrats are going to vote for the new Commons boundaries, or at least not vote against them. Like the Conservatives, they want having an MP to be like having a railway station: one every few streets in London, one per town within easy commuting distance of London, and one per county everywhere else.

In most of the country, as with the old line or the old station, some kind of monument could be put up to "When we mattered enough to have our own MP". The wrong people decided the General Election of 2019. That is never going to be allowed to happen again. On this, all parties are agreed. But I am the Independent parliamentary candidate for North West Durham. Or the seat with Lanchester in it, anyway. What are you doing?
