Never Again

Before anyone starts, my late father won the 1939-1945 Star, the Africa Star with 8th Army Clasp, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, and the War Medal 1939–1945.

Remembrance Sunday as it existed until last year will not be coming back. I don't know how I never noticed this before, but that had always been the intention once the Queen died. Covid-19 has provided the excuse to bring things forward a little.

And you know what? That is probably just as well. The whole thing has become the exact opposite of what it was originally intended to be, based as that was on events that next to no one can now remember. Meanwhile, Britain continues to treat veterans appallingly.
