I forgot to mention this yesterday, but Saint Andrew is the Patron Saint both of Russia and of Ukraine.
Like that "Union Jack" on the flags of Australia and New Zealand, or the several Arab flags that look much the same, or the resemblance between the flags of Cuba and the United States, or the fact that Saint George is the Patron Saint of all three of Egypt, Palestine and Lebanon, it is one of those startling coincidences which nobody can begin to explain.
Another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. I will stand for this parliamentary seat of North West Durham, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
