From Top To Bottom

The pay of company Chief Executives has increased by 11 per cent in the past year, with median salaries of just under four million pounds.

Full-time workers have enjoyed only a two per cent rise, and of course many of them have not even had that, while there is growing anger among investors.

Theresa May promised to give shareholders control over executive pay. How has that ever not been the case, since it is their money?

But, characteristically, she has done nothing to make good on that. Oh, well, she does have a party to contend with. As, of course, does Jeremy Corbyn.

Shareholders should indeed have control over executive pay.

And it should be illegal to pay any employee more than 10 times the pay of any other employee, or contractor, or however they tried to play it.

Therefore, we need our people to hold the balance of power in the next hung Parliament. I need £10,000 in order to stand for Parliament with any chance of winning.
